Buttock enhancement in Europe is increasingly popular.
The Technique has improved considerably. Results are now more
reliable than in the, even recent, past. The demand has been traditionally
higher in South America and the Caribbean. However, due to recent
advances, the acceptability of the buttock lift, with or without
augmentation, has increased.
In combination with lipo-contouring and silicone
implantation in the upper part of the buttocks, attractive, youthful,
rounding of the buttocks can be achieved also in Caucasian women
who are prone to buttock sagging.
Buttock enhancement: often a combination of lifting,
augmentation, lipo-structure and micro fat transplantation.
In the white race, buttock sagging is a common aesthetic complaint.
The result is a “square bottom” with sagging in the
lower part and lack of fullness in the upper area. It is fundamentally
similar to the problem of breast sagging.
Adjacent areas with to much or too little fat may also be lipo-sculptured
for optimal results.
Therefore, a combination of techniques may be required as follows:
Buttock lift with scar in
the fold, extending to the side in severe cases.
Augmentation with silicone implants to fill the contour
below the lower back and sides. The incision (7 cm) will
be made in the midline overlying the tail bone and lower
sacrum. There is flexibility in sizing of the implant used.
Liposculpture
/ liposuction of adjacent areas such as riding breaches,
love handles and sacral patch.
Micro
fat transfer to fill out a hollow on the side of
the pelvis.
You should discuss all these aspects with the plastic surgeon,
in detail, during your consultation.
The best results are obtained with round smooth
walled implants that are positioned inside the muscle.

which are softer, and male pectoral implants that are more

The
anaesthesia: Intravenous Sedation
No general anaesthesia required!
Progress in sedation techniques has helped make extensive cosmetic
procedures possible while avoiding the side effects of general
anaesthesia.
Contrary to traditional narcosis, where a tube is inserted in
the throat and connected to a breathing apparatus, you actually
breathe on your own. While you sleep, you breathe and swallow
independently and feel no pain.
A few hours after surgery you feel fine and
have been spared the side effects and complications of a general
anaesthesia.
With the use of
intravenous sedation, surgeries have become safer.
Combined procedures are now feasible. It is, for instance, possible
to undergo buttock enhancement surgery with lipo-sculpture of
the back and sides.
The surgery.
Surgery takes between one and three hours, depending on the complexity
of treatment. The wounds are carefully closed in layers with dissolvable
stitches on the inside, and removable stitches in the skin. Antibiotics
are routinely administered and drains may be left in place.
After surgery you will rest in one of our luxurious patient suites.
The next day you will be fit again to return to your hotel or
to go home.

Possible complications

Every surgical intervention, buttock enhancement also,
carries certain risks.
It’s very important to be well informed before undergoing
an operation. Your doctor is the best source of information
and will inform you about the general risks of a certain
operation, but in particular he can estimate your individual
risk.
A buttock enhancement does result in permanent scarring
that will improve during 18 months following surgery. General
scar and wound healing complications such as after bleeding,
dehiscence, infection, scar hypertrophy and keloid formation
apply.
Modern implant technology has greatly reduced, but not
annihilated, standard complications such as infection, fluid
production, rejection and hardening.
Asymmetry is often present before surgery and may be difficult
or impossible to correct.
If lipo-sculpture is applied the standard complications
apply.
Micro fat transfer may result in rejection of the fat.
Complications need to be treated by the original surgeon
or by a knowledgeable doctor, experienced in this type of
surgery. |
All our implants carry a warranty for minimum
20 years.
Warranty of implants does not include damage by penetrating sharp
objects such as injection needles. This doesn’t mean that
they have to be replaced. There is no scientific evidence for
ill effects of silicone gel long term. It is only in case of a
changing situation, whereby on implant changes compared to the
other in size, firmness or clinical aspect that the advise of
a knowledgeable surgeon should be sought without delay.
