A woman may have unsightly fat deposits
in her pubic region, which causes a bulge in clothes. This
deposit may have been present since birth or acquired with
weight gain or puberty. Aging or weight gain may cause the pubic
and vaginal regions to descend, resulting in an aged appearance.
Following massive weight gain and subsequent loss or a prolonged
pregnancy, it is not uncommon for a woman to report
dissatisfaction with her loose, sagging, or prominent mons
pubis. Occasionally there is an associated skin laxity which
creates the illusion of an aged or collapsed appearance due to
loss of support. This excess skin and fat may obscure or put
excess weight on vaginal area.
Sagging of the pubic area, the Mount of Venus,
is a very common problem in mature woman. Lifting the pubic area
will enhance the aesthetic aspects of the area.
THE
PROCEDURE
Falling or ptosis of the pubic area happens due to flabbiness
in the area of the pelvis. This condition is often observed in
patients who have been suffering abrupt weight loss, pregnancies
or simply because of aging. Sagging pubic tissue can be corrected
by excision of the redundant skin above the pubic hair bearing
area.
This procedure is often combined with a Mini
Abdominoplasty- Tummy Tuck- in order to improve
the lower abdomen. A scar is left in the bikini line.
All intimate surgery can be combined with
other plastic cosmetic surgery procedures.
In our clinic Plastic Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery is combined
with specialised Gynaecology: Our specialist surgeons are working
together in a multidisciplinary setup.
COMBINED
SURGERY PROCEDURES
A pubic lift can be combined with the correction of more areas
of the body or face. For example, abdomen surgery with lifting
of the breasts, eyelid enhancement, teeth whitening, nose correction,
and double chin liposuction.
The advantages of these combined surgical procedures are obvious.
Only a single anesthesia is required and a single recuperative
period is needed: a considerable reduction of costs.
