THE
PROCEDURE
The operation can be a day surgery under local anesthesia, a combination of local anaesthetic and intravenous
sedation ensures maximal pain relief, or 1-3 days recovery
at the hospital under general anesthesia. The stitches willl be
removed 1 week after surgery.
Excess breast tissue is removed endoscopically through a keyhole
in the nipple areola. Occasionally some extra liposculpture smoothens
out the contour even further.
Through a small incision in the nipple areola, the plastic surgeon
inserts the small endoscopic instruments. The entire operation,
including the dissection and removal of breast tissue, takes place
underneath the intact skin. The scar is limited to a tiny area
in the areola and generally almost disappears entirely within
2 to 3 months.

RECOVERY
You will need to physically rest your upper body in the days
immediately after the operation. Limited exercise can be recommenced
after one week, whereas you will be back to normal after 3 to
4 weeks.
